The DUFF= Designated ugly fat friend. Sounds appealing no? 17 year old Bianca has never felt like the most attractive girl but she never game it much thought. I finished this book in one day. I could not put it down. I instantly fell in LOVE with Bianca. Her attitude is what really made me connect with her. The fact that she wasn't the typical "Barbie" also helped. It was a character that I think everyone could relate to in some way. She wasn't the "cookie cutter" girl that we typically see. I loved the writing style and I am still in shock that a 17 year old wrote the book. All the characters in the book were so realistic. I found myself connecting the characters in the book to some people I went to high school with. It brought me back to those days. I would give this book a solid 5 out of 5 and would recommend it to anybody over the age of 14.... there are some sexual references, some swearing. Happy reading! :)
